The Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) published its Strategic Plan 2026-2029 today setting out priorities for the next three years. It supports our vision that a trusted, skilled, confident and valued workforce delivers social work, social care and children and young people services.

Up to £994,000 will be available in three new funds to support study for practice educators, mental health officers and new social workers in local authorities in the coming year. The SSSC will administer the funds on behalf of the Scottish Government.
