Supporting our workforce through the festive season

The festive season can be a joyful time, but for many working in social work, social care and children and young people services it can also mean time away from loved ones to provide care and support for others. This can feel isolating and emotionally demanding.

If you’re finding things difficult, support is available

Your employer should have wellbeing resources and support systems in place. Don’t hesitate to speak to your manager or HR team if you need help.

We offer resources and links to support your wellbeing. You can find them on our website.

The Fitness to Practise Wellbeing Support Line offers a range of free and confidential support to:

  • workers going through a fitness to practise investigation
  • members of the public who have raised a concern about an SSSC registrant or applicant
  • witnesses who have provided a statement as part of a fitness to practise investigation.

You can find out more about the Fitness to Practise Wellbeing Support Line on our website.

If you’re struggling, please reach out – help is there.

Thank you for everything you do – your incredible work makes a real difference. Wishing you a safe and happy festive season!
