New MyLearning badge builds confidence in palliative care and care around dying

We’ve launched a new Palliative care and care around dying MyLearning badge to support Scotland's social service workforce.

The badge helps workers develop their understanding of palliative care, care around dying and the important part they play in supporting people, families and carers.

Supporting compassionate care

Good palliative care helps people live as well as possible when they have a life limiting illness. Social service workers play an important role in providing support, understanding individual wishes and helping people and their families navigate difficult times.

The new badge aims to increase awareness of the national palliative care strategy and help workers understand how their role contributes to delivering high quality palliative care and care around dying.

Available to everyone

Anyone who wants to improve their understanding of palliative care and care around dying can gain the badge. Learning this way provides a flexible way for workers to learn at their own pace while demonstrating their knowledge and commitment.

Make it count towards your CPL

Completing the badge can count towards your continuous professional learning (CPL) requirements.
