We also want to make sure that everyone who needs to register with us, is registered on time. New workers must apply to register within three months of starting their role, so they are registered with the required six months.
Shine a light on the work you do
This #SSSCregistered campaign is your chance to shine a light on the important work you do every day, either in social work, social care or children and young people services and that you are part of a registered and regulated professional workforce.
Talking about your registration will help more people to understand what it means and reassure them you have necessary values, knowledge and skills to care for their loved ones.
We want everyone across Scotland to understand how important it is to be SSSC registered and would like your support to help us raise awareness.
By taking part:
- social work, social care and children and young people workers can promote they are part of a registered and regulated workforce
- employers can demonstrate their staff have the necessary values, knowledge and skills
- people using services, their families and the wider public know that social services are delivered by a trusted, skilled, confident and valued workforce.
