Consultation on the revised Fitness to Practise Rules

We’re proposing changes to the Fitness to Practise Rules (FTP Rules) that set out what we do when we receive a concern about a social service worker and we want to hear your views.

We need your views on improvements we are proposing on vulnerable witnesses, the maximum length of Temporary Orders, workers who are unfit to plead, workers with health issues who do not engage with our investigations and on reviews of our decisions. We also want to hear your views on some less important changes we want to make to the Rules.

Please share this consultation as widely as possible.

We want to hear from people with an interest in the Rules whether you are a social service worker, employer, learning provider/university or an individual who uses care services or you care for someone who uses services. We also want to hear from people who represent workers in Fitness to Practise investigations, including trades unions, lawyers and advice centres.

Read the full details about the consultation and how to respond on the Revised Fitness to Practise Rules Consultation page.
