It’s your responsibility to tell us about any changes in your circumstances to make sure your details are up to date so you can continue to receive important information about your registration.
You should tell us as quickly as possible about changes to your:
- home address and contact details - including your phone numbers
- email address
- qualifications
- job or if you have changed role
- work address and employer.
Why is it important?
Here are some reasons why it’s important to keep your details up to date.
- We could remove you from our Register. If your details aren’t up to date, you may not receive changes about your registration, reminders and notifications such as annual fee reminders or notifications about failed payments due to incorrect banking details. This could result in being removed from the Register, meaning you would need to re-apply. You may not be able to work and your employer could take action against you for not being registered.
- You might not receive your paperwork. If you’ve moved home or changed your email address, we may send important paperwork to the wrong address. This poses a risk of others having access to your private documents.
- Taking part in fitness to practise investigations. If you’re a witness or helping us with one of our investigations, we will need your correct contact details or we may not be able to take further action against the person we are investigating.
- Being on the correct part of the Register. If you change the job you are doing and don’t tell us, this might mean you could end up on wrong the part of the Register, there are 23 different parts.
- Sharing information. Sometimes other organisations ask us to share information with them. If we don’t have up to date contact details for you, we might share your information when you would prefer us not to.
Don’t delay, update your details today by signing in to your MySSSC account to check and make any necessary changes.
You can also email registration@sssc.uk.com to tell us about any changes you would like to make.
