Workforce support and wellbeing during COVID-19

We’ve produced a new resource to support staff health and wellbeing during the challenging time of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

Social care workers and social workers are on the frontline in providing support to some of society’s most vulnerable citizens and we know the crucial role they’re playing brings with it additional pressures and stress.

Our new resource Workforce support and wellbeing during the COVID-19 outbreak brings together a range of information and support for the workforce in the context of COVID-19.

SSSC Chief Executive, Lorraine Gray, said it was vital that staff looked after their own health as well as helping others through the pandemic: ‘The social service workforce has a critical role to play in responding to the COVID-19 pandemic but they must take care of their own wellbeing too.

‘The information in this new resource will help them to do that, to look out for and to support their colleagues and to continue to provide care and support to individuals they work with.’

You can find the resource on our Learning Zone:
