Seeking your views - new dementia resources improvement project

We’re supporting the Care Inspectorate as they develop new dementia resources and we want frontline staff who provide care to people with dementia to take part in the co-design.

This project will develop easily accessible and understood resources to support the social care workforce in their caring role for people living with dementia, who may be experiencing stress and distress, and their families.

The resources will support improvements in person-centred care to reduce stress and distress for people through appropriate assessment, care planning and meaningful connections and activity.

How to get involved

You can complete a short survey that asks 15 questions and should take around five minutes to complete. The survey will close on 31 October 2024.

Take part in the survey.

You can also get involved by attending a stakeholder workshop. These are aimed at frontline social care staff, with the aim of co-designing practical tools and resources to support you in your work. They will explore what resources you feel would make a difference and why.

There will be two workshops:

  • Monday 21 October 2024, Dundee
  • Thursday 24 October 2024, Glasgow

You have the opportunity to register your interest in attending one of these workshops when completing the survey.

The aim is to develop the new resources by the end of the year then social care staff will test them in early 2025.
