New guide offers advice and information on working safely

Our new guide, Working safely during COVID-19, offers social service workers information and advice about changes to the way we work as a result of the coronavirus pandemic.

The Office for National Statistics estimates that only five per cent of the UK labour force worked mainly from home in 2019. Now, in 2020, the number of home workers has multiplied significantly due to the national lockdown and for some organisations this will become the norm for the foreseeable future.

Other workers are adapting to how homecare services are being delivered as a result of COVID-19 or are new to working in communities.

Working safely during COVID-19 offers social service workers accessible advice and links to resources. It has been designed to support individuals working at home or in communities and outlines what managers can do to support their colleagues.
