We developed the portal at the request of the Scottish Government to help address some of the current staffing pressures in adult social care. We invited previously registered workers to note their interest in returning to care roles by registering in the portal.
Employers can look for people in their area with experience of working in care home, care at home and day care services and find out when they are available to work.
When they find suitable candidates, they are put in touch to discuss potential employment opportunities.
Accessing the portal
Employers who are already set up as countersignatories with us can access the recruitment portal using their MySSSC account and selecting the ‘My Employees’ tile where they will find the Adult Care Recruitment link. Read the full guidance on using the portal here.
If you are not set up as a countersignatory, you can do this by creating a MySSSC account and going to the ‘Are you an employer’ tile.
