I would like to take this opportunity to draw your attention to the consultation that the Scottish Government has launched on a new National Care Service for Scotland.
The pandemic has highlighted the importance of our social care services and we want to ensure that our social care system is one that delivers high quality services and supports people to live fuller and more rewarding lives.
To do this, any reform that we undertake can only be done with a dedicated focus on improving the experience of those of you who work in the sector. We need to hear about what works well, what doesn’t work well and what we can do to improve it.
I am inviting you to read and comment on the consultation, which can be found at A National Care Service for Scotland - Scottish Government - Citizen Space (consult.gov.scot).
You do not need to complete every part of the consultation if you choose not to; it is split into chapters, which allows you to comment on specific areas. You can respond anonymously if you would feel more comfortable doing so.
