Social service workforce

It’s time to have your say on workforce wellbeing

We’re asking workers in all kinds of social work, social care and children and young people roles to share their views in the first Have Your Say Workforce Wellbeing Survey.

Who’s it for?

We want to hear from people working in, or who have worked in, social services in Scotland, to help build a picture of people’s experiences. You don’t need to be registered with the SSSC to share your views as the survey aims to gather the collective experience of the whole workforce.

The survey asks about wellbeing, pay, terms and conditions, support for, and access to, training and qualifications and experiences of working in the sector.

The findings will help us and other key partners, including Scottish Government, learn more to help the development of national policies and workforce strategies and to inform workforce planning and development.

We plan to repeat the survey each year to build a picture over time and to understand what is improving, what needs to be better and what needs to change.

The survey

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete. Answers won’t save as you go, so make sure you complete them in one sitting and choose submit at the end.

We’ll share the survey findings through publications and on our data website. We’ll let you know about the findings through our newsletter; you can sign up if you don’t already subscribe.

The Have Your Say Workforce Wellbeing Survey closes at 5pm on Friday 14 February.
