Recognised worldwide, Investors in People (IIP) accreditation shows commitment to the people who make up an organisation. Our recent assessment that saw us ‘go for gold’ included a survey of all staff, interviews with 30 members of staff, our union steward and our Convener.
How did we do
Stand out strengths included our belief in the work we do and how important it is for the social work, social care and early years sector in Scotland, how we embrace change and continued to provide excellent customer service right through the pandemic.
Our focus on learning and development opportunities and supporting health and wellbeing all scored high.
Speaking about the award Chief Executive, Lorraine Gray said:
‘We are all incredibly proud of this achievement. Reaching this level is a credit to everyone throughout the organisation. Our commitment to making a difference shone through.
‘To have achieved this during a global pandemic reinforces how ambitious we are to do more, not just for each other but to support everyone in the wider social work, social care and early years sector.
‘Everyone working at the SSSC has played a part in this award and I want to thank each person.
‘We all know that the SSSC is a great place to work and this award will help others to see that too.’
