The SSSC has a central role in public protection and ensuring consistent and high standards across the social work, social care and children and young people workforce.
It is essential that inspection and regulation of this workforce contributes to delivering the best outcomes for everyone using and accessing the services they provide.
The Independent Review of Inspection, Scrutiny and Regulation report published today identifies opportunities to address some of the challenges in the current systems and we welcome the opportunity to work closely with Ministers and Scottish Government over the coming months as they consider the recommendations.
