More to Care Than Caring
This latest phase of ‘There’s More to Care Than Caring’ will run for five weeks and will include virtual events so people can learn more about what it’s really like to work in care.
The campaign focuses on the important values needed to work in adult social care, as well as the rewards and job satisfaction it offers. There is also important information on the training and qualifications you can gain and career opportunities.
We’ve worked with Scottish Government and the campaign advisory group to help develop the campaign which has a dedicated website caretocare.scot
Welcome
SSSC Chief Executive Lorraine Gray welcomed the latest phase of the campaign, saying:
‘The recent consultation on establishing a National Care Service is a real opportunity to put the focus on the value workforce and the great career opportunities social care offers.
‘For people with the right values there are a huge variety of jobs available, the chance to get training and qualifications and become part of a professional workforce. It’s not just life changing work for people receiving services but workers themselves too.’
