The Council has corporate responsibility for ensuring the SSSC fulfils the aims and objectives set by Scottish Ministers and promotes the efficient, effective and accountable governance of the organisation. The Council provides challenge, support, strategic leadership and direction which focuses on agreed outcomes.
The successful appointee will be given a training plan, continuous support and mentorship within the Council. This includes the opportunity to participate in a ‘buddying’ programme where you will be paired up with another Council Member, allowing you to gain insight, knowledge and aid you in performing in the role.
