Leadership Your learning

You as a Collaborative Leader programme

A new programme, beginning in November, is now open for applications from current leaders working across health and social care where improving collaboration and integrated, person centred approaches would be beneficial.

Leadership for Integration (LfI), a partnership project with the Scottish Social Services Council, the Royal College of General Practitioners and NHS Education for Scotland is delivering this programme to support our combined workforces to develop collaborative leadership skills within the context of health and social care integration.

You as a Collaborative Leader (YaCL) is an online learning in action programme comprising of two workshops split across four half days, three smaller facilitated ‘peer thinking’ groups and one individual coaching session.

The programme is an opportunity to:

  • work and learn together with people from across health and social care
  • learn as a group, as well as receive one to one coaching support
  • network with colleagues from across health and social care, including primary and social care professionals, statutory, third and independent sectors.

The programme supports individuals to:

  • help recognise your own leadership strengths and sources of resilience
  • raise self-awareness
  • reflect on leadership style, presence and impact
  • increase confidence in leading change within integrated settings
  • practice collaborative working and influencing skills.
