New person-centred care during COVID-19 situations report

A new insight report published by Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) in partnership with the SSSC and Care Inspectorate outlines key elements of what has enabled good practice during the COVID-19 pandemic.

HIS recently invited both health and social care workers to share their experiences and examples of how services were adapting their person-centred practice to meet new challenges. They gathered the information from stories from the SSSC, Care Inspectorate and Personal Outcomes Network, insight summaries and webinars.

The report shows health and social care staff have shown they are committed to maintaining compassionate person-centred care in rapidly changing and pressurised situations, creating the culture, supporting staff wellbeing and embracing technology to enable this. It is clear that maintaining a person-centred approach to improvement will be much needed in the coming months and years.

We will use the information from this project for further development and support activity with health and social care services.
