New SSSC and NES partnership report

We’ve published our second annual report on Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and NHS Education for Scotland (NES) partnership working.

Our partnership approach is to provide an inclusive framework that ensures programmes of work are:

  • evidence-based
  • responsive to identified need
  • bring added value
  • generate complementary learning opportunities for each workforce.

COVID-19 continues to place exceptional demands on people working across health and social care. Our partnership commitment is to work in collaboration with employers and others to deliver activity and resources that reduce the burden of the pandemic and highlight the significant contribution of our combined workforce.

The report shares achievements from our partnership work during 2019-20 and describes our role in supporting our combined workforce through the continuing pandemic.

It highlights relevant policy and the future direction of our partnership activity to best respond to the needs and aspirations of people who use and work in health and social care services.
